Scientists use mathematical calculations to PROVE the existence of God
If it is ever possible to "prove" the existence of God the program will be over. Why?
Because it is by faith that one is saved. If it doesn't take faith it's a new covenant.
Because without faith, it is impossible to please God. Without faith there can be no rewards. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6
Because He hates what faith-less people do: "I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it." Psalm 101:3
Because faith is the prescription for the antidote to sin - When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” Luke 5:20
Because faith brings healing. By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see. Acts 3:16
Because it is faith that enables one to receive the work of Christ. "God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith." Romans 3:25 No faith - no atonement.
Because faith justifies the ungodly. "However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness." Romans 4:5
Because faith is needed to have peace with God. "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:1-2
Because if it was by sight, and not by faith, we would not how to live. "For we live by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7
Because faith is the currency that pays the toll to get on the highway to heaven. "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." Galatians 5:6
Because faith is the only thing that enables one to even understand the most basic things or know their creator. "By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible." Hebrews 11:3
Thank God we live in a time where faith is required to please Him. There is a day coming soon when it will no longer take faith. On that day every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. On that day faith is no longer necessary or possible.
Lord, give me child-like faith! And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3
Thank you, Colonel, for reminding us that God has provided the means of FAITH that credits God with all the glory for saving us from the judgment that we deserve. FAITH acknowledges this absolute, moral truth and responds to the GIVER of His all-expenses-paid GIFT (Romans 6:23) of salvation rewarded to those that diligently seek Him. However, according to the Biblical definition of saving faith, it is not enough to arrive at the obvious conclusion that "He [God] IS." We must also humbly seek Him and respond by receiving Him (John 1:12,13). Does that mean it is possible to believe in the existence of God and yet NOT have the quality of faith that saves the eternal soul? YES! A centilion times (or 10 to the 303th power) YES!
ReplyDeleteMathematically proving that God exists is a NO-BRAINER. Anytime you exceed 10 to 50th power, according to the most conservative mathematicians, you have crossed the line into the realm of impossibility, mathematically speaking. Accordingly to Professor Ralph O. Muncaster (A Skeptic's Search for God, chapter nine) the probability of the origin of first life by chance is conservatively estimated to be one in ten to the 33,113 power. "Chance" is really not a relevant discussion, however, since we now know that protein biosynthesis is not driven by chance, but by INFORMATION in the form a a quarternary triplet code in the molecule we call DNA. The Scientific Law of Information (SLI) demonstrates that an encoded message, with an expected action, with an envisioned purpose DEMANDS INTELLIGENCE to send a message for a receiver (person or system) to interpret and perform the intended action. PERIOD. No exceptions. (As outlined in "Without Excuse" and "In the Beginning Was Information" authored by Dr. Werner Gitt, Ph.D., Information Specialist, Scientist, Control Engineer, Director, and Professor for 30 years at the Physical Institute of Physics and Technology in Brunswick, Germany).
Can people today arrive logically to the place where they acknowledge the existence of God... and yet NOT be saved? Absolutely! It's as simple as refusing to open the door (Revelation 3:20) when you KNOW someone is knocking to enter who wants to save your life.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen... But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that he is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:1,6).
"But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on his name" (John 1:12).
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20).
"Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the feast day, many BELIEVED in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. But Jesus DID NOT commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, and needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man" (John 2:23-25).
We need the child-like faith that say "YES!" to our Savior.
However, children are also quite capable of saying "NO!" or not responding when addressed (i.e., NO), or finding some other activity to do instead the one requested (i.e. NO).
Eternity is a long time to regret the wrong answer.
